THINGS IN THE DISTANCE
LAS COSAS EN LA DISTANCIA (Things in the Distance) is a choreographic project premiered at the Conde Duque Cultural Centre, Madrid in 2020. Initially created with 8 dancers, the piece can be expanded up to 50 dancers through the realization of a choreographic workshop for advanced students of contemporary dance. The project can be adapted to various non-conventional spaces.
2020

The piece is anchored in the presence of the dancers and proposes its own dramaturgy of dance. From their bodies that do not move, from their columns agitated in multiple directions, from their arms thrown with violence and uncontrolled, a poetics of women's bodies that resist standing and remain unfolds. Bodies crossed by diverse forces and intensities, in short, a collective body of women that presents their ancestral resilience as a way of being in the world.
